First steps to backyard makeover

My small, square yard was a nothing but dirt left by the contractor. Only good thing, there was a fence. So, we began adding the shapes, hardscapes, grass, and trees. Just getting to the point of adding some color. Looking forward to what lies ahead.

1 of 5: Flagstone patio overlooking the yard.

2 of 5: My favorite path to my favorite little spot in the yard. Hope to have some teak chairs soon to relax in. The red rocket crape's are just wonderful.

3 of 5: Mandevilla vine

4 of 5: I'm a junker and repurpose everything and anything so I used my childhood box springs for my cucumber vines.

5 of 5: Can't get enough pink!! Even the water hose is pink. Gotta love that!

Wow...those crape myrtle's are incredible! Any secrets on how you care for them?
