side yard off porch

an area about 20 ft by 15 ft drops down from large side porch. It has a tree in one corner ( very large, tall redwood tree) with a bench just recently built around it. We have dug out the entire area around it that used to have margarita bushes and need to know what to put in the area. Would like something with pavers.
