Front Yard

We share our yard with our neighbors. Our whole street is full of connected townhouses.
It is very small, all grass, with one dead tree in the middle :(
It takes about 5 minutes to mow!
We want something that sets it apart from most of the rentals on our street, something that's aesthetic and easy to care for. We both have brown thumbs, so it the plants need to be hardy!!
