Texas Trails
Shared by Susan Velzy
Rocky, caliche earth typical of the Texas Hill Country. Had to find what will grow here after gardening in upstate NY for 30 years! Love to build outdoor creations from leftovers. We have wildlife to contend with as well as crazy Texas weather!

Paradise on the Mountain
Shared by Sherry
My gardens are mostly perennials, with a mixture of annuals and some decorative planters. I have many plans for more gardens & arrangements, I just need more time & energy. Our home & yard is on the sloped side of a mountain & the soil is very hard & tends to have a lot of rocks in it, making any start to a new gardenscape very time consuming. Which is also why I like to do decorator pot planting

Seaweed Cottage
Shared by Barb
A newly planted perrenial garden by the seaside at the Jersey shore. This is an area that gets loads of butterflies all summer long. I didn't do the work as I don't have the body for it. But I designed it and am looking forward to being able to add all the homey touches of a sweet garden.

Craftsman Home being used as an Antiques and Collectibles shop and residence. When I bought this home I wanted to create a English garden appearance for the Antique shop. I wanted lots of flowers and a sortof wild unkempt look with not a lot of care needed other than watering. I haven't got the pics in order but you can look thru and see before pics and then when we widened the walkway and put in

Minnetonka Landscape Facelift
Shared by Anderson Design Custom Landscape Design-Build
Our clients asked us to create more privacy from the street without "walling them in". We utilized gentle contouring, wooded edges, and "landscape islands" to develop friendly screening. At the same time, we gave them a new entry courtyard with a sitting wall & gently curving front walk, welcoming visitors to the home.

Mountain Lodge Pond on a Budget
Shared by Alicia Perry
Backyard with a steep slope towards the house was transformed into a patio with firepit with a rock reataining wall and connecting it to a pond with a waterfall. Each rock was laid by hand. We stained the concrete ourselves. The pond has a salltwater pump and we swim/float in the four foot deep water. It has a regular pond liner. The whole thing cost under 30,000, including the fence.
