Hi Lynn, This is my first post. I hope it works :) I would like info on your pond. Did you buy a kit or did you make it your own? I want the same thing. I have my dirt piling up to make a waterfall, and we used to have a pond in that area so I do have my center dug out :) I just want to do it right this time :( What size pump etc. Thanks for any info.

Joy, I truly enjoyed see your pictures that you posted of your yard. I liked how you told about each picture. It was very sweet how your Mom shared the daylilly. Isnt it neat to look at a flower and think of certain people? I have some peonies that was my great grandfathers that was passed down. I can still see my grandpa digging them up for me.

I love your yard :) Very talented. This is the way I like to landscape too. Do you use a lot of fertilizer?

Hi HS, Sorry it took a while to get back to you. I wanted my husband sitting by my side to give me the info since he did the grunt work. The pond was dug out by my dad and husband (by hand) 11 years ago. The hole was then lined with pond liner. There is a lip around the edge, lower then the surrounding yard, where the pond liner lays with rocks sitting all around to hold the liner down and cover the liner edge. The pump is a 24 gallon/hour pump purchased from Northerntool.com for $100.00. We live in Michigan and leave an aerator running during the winter. Our pond is only 3 feet deep at the deepest and 1 1/2 feet at the shallowest. The pond is about 16 ft. long by 7 ft. wide. I hope this helps in some way. Hope to see some pictures of your progress. Oh! The filter is a homemade job. The container is at the top of the pond. My husband found a how to on the inter-net. I'll take a picture of it and post it so you can get an idea.

That is fine Lynn :) I wasnt sure how this all worked. We had a pond years ago, then we had a bad neighbor that I was unable to go in my yard for YEARS :( Long story, we even live in the country! Thanks for the info. Our pond is 16x20 and deepest point in middle is 3 foot. We dug ours about 11 yrs ago too :) The liner was trashed out by me not being able to go take care of things. I am finally able to get back in my yard with neighbor gone :) Thanks for the info! I would love the info. on the how to from the internet.
