Lynn :
Hi HS,
Sorry it took a while to get back to you. I wanted my husband sitting by my side to give me the info since he did the grunt work. The pond was dug out by my dad and husband (by hand) 11 years ago. The hole was then lined with pond liner. There is a lip around the edge, lower then the surrounding yard, where the pond liner lays with rocks sitting all around to hold the liner down and cover the liner edge. The pump is a 24 gallon/hour pump purchased from Northerntool.com for $100.00. We live in Michigan and leave an aerator running during the winter. Our pond is only 3 feet deep at the deepest and 1 1/2 feet at the shallowest.
The pond is about 16 ft. long by 7 ft. wide. I hope this helps in some way. Hope to see some pictures of your progress. Oh! The filter is a homemade job. The container is at the top of the pond. My husband found a how to on the inter-net. I'll take a picture of it and post it so you can get an idea.
