When you're in juniper-country, in a 50 year old house and yard that's been unkempt for at least 20 years, you essentially start from scratch. This is the result. We're only about 1/3 of the way done, but were smart enough to get the hot tub in early. :)

1 of 7: Dig a hole. Make it deep. Do all labor by hand in heat of summer.

2 of 7: Line out placement of hot tub.

3 of 7: Lay gravel and level.

4 of 7: Carry pavers. Again, across the entire backyard because nobody planned for access. :(

5 of 7: Cut pavers

6 of 7: Sweep sand

7 of 7: Enjoy hot tub. Except the staining of the weathered wood and a new cover. But that'll come later.
