My Memory Garden

Deronda in Corryton, TN

I created this garden summer 2005 In a side yard that enters into back yard. Wanted something over the gate so I made a gate arbor and planted a rose on it like my mom had done. This became a dedication garden to her memory as I planted roses and flowers she would have loved. I call this garden MY MEMORY GARDEN.

What a beautiful tribute

Nice to hear from you. No I haven't started any seeds yet. I think I will start them the end of March, I have to check the seed packages. I always have trouble with them getting to leggy if I start them too early. Sam's club has a rolling rack about 7ft. high and about 6 adjustable shelves. I am using my Christmas money to buy it, $100.00 This way I can roll the young plants in and out of the garage. I think I might try covering the shelf unit up with plastic and make it like a portable greenhou

So you want to do some scrapbooking...sounds good. Just start! When you do your rose cuttings do you use rooting hormone? I wish I could grow roses like you...BEAUTIFUL! How is the weather by you? Ice? Snow?

Hi Deronda, I am just sitting down and having my first cup of coffee. I can't think of a better way to start my day than strolling through your BEAUTIFUL gardens. I love the very natural look to your paths and how your porch adds texture and warmth to the area.
