2 of 29: Honeysuckle Vine and Mandevilla Vine are a favorite of the humming birds, see the hummer on the left?
3 of 29: Fineleaf Japanese Maple and hosta Sum and Substance. The Japanese Maples seem to grow so slow in Wisconsin. And I always cross my finger that it makes it through our cold Winters. This one made it through one Winter...

I LOVE your gardens--probably because I grow many of the same plants you do (I'm in zone 6, MA)-- and also have lots of hummingbirds that visit. How you were able to catch photos of them is amazing. I'd love for you to check out my photos under "My Coastal Garden." Maybe you can give me some advice on the hill garden I'm working on.n
Thanks for the advice. I didn't realize Craigslist would be a resource for plants. I've used it for other things -- and have done some selling on it. I'll definitely look into that come spring.
It takes my breath away. nYou may not be a Master Gardener, but you are a masterful gardener.
Oh My gosh, How big is your yard? How much time every day do you spend in it for it to look so nice? You can really tell you enjoy it. I like the paths and the pictures with the Hummingbirds.
I am in the garden 6 hours a day, sometimes more and sometimes less. I also sell perennials at our local farmers market on Wednesdays and at a couple flea markets on Saturdays. It gives me alittle extra money to spend on gardening and my hobbies. My Mom lives across the street from me and she also pots up plants to sell. While I am at market she gives garden tours. Your time in the garden does pay off. If I lived near you, I would ask for a tour. And I'm going to keep you in mind when I do some more work in my yard next summer. You didn't say, what size yard to you have. It looks very large.
Hi Karen, We have 1.8 acres. If you are ever in the area I would be glad to have you for tea and a tour...It would be nice!
I knew you had a pretty big area. That's a lot to keep you busy. Mine is so small but we love the view of the lake. I will put some winter pictures on here this year. Thank you for the invite, If i ever get to Wisconson, I'll remember you.
