My Big Project

Firecap51 in United States

This bbq was built after many hours and thousands of photos. I wanted to put this on the site because of how much information I was able to get from those before me. Thank you everyone for posting and sharing ideas. My hope is that someone can use these ideas to make their own outdoor kitchen a reality. I would like to thank my family for being so patient as this took countless hours and an extremely supportive wife.

Before & After Outdoor Kitchen Step by Step Project

1 of 6

2 of 6: BBQ uses charcoal and wood, table top grill uses propane because Im really not planning on using it much. Just when we need to cook something small and quick.

3 of 6: Here is a side angle. These cabinets are not what they seem. When you pull on the handles they slide out 20in for full access to storage. It was just a really nice way to make them look good.

5 of 6: Fire box and smoke chamber. 30in x 30in x 6ft tall. Air intake in front and smoke stack on top. I used dimensions I typed into an excel document on another BBQ web forum.

6 of 6: I used stucco on the back side to keep cost down and make it look nice.

You should submit this in the Lawn Wars TV Show contest. Go to the Yard Contests tab to get started. It would be perfect for the show...good luck!
