Oregon Slice of Paradise

Bruce & Lois in Redmond, OR

This is our yard in Central Oregon. We wanted lots of grass when we moved here from California and boy did we get our wish! We are now considering a rider mower! Good thing the lawn goes dormant about 5 months a year. Other than mowing the lawn, the yard is very low maintenance and we love it.

What a beautiful lawn. I too like the wide flowerbeds and the gravel mulch. It's too hot here in texas for the gravel but iy looks great in the cooler climates.

You have a gorgeous view of the mountains. I like that you have wide berms and flower beds. Your lupine are so pretty. Do they come back for you every year? What zone are you?
