Lark in Dousman, WI

ARE YOU THINKING OF SPRING. This is easy to do. I can't afford a greenhouse or the maintainance of a greenhouse. I wanted to be able to start my plants early here in my zone 4/5 yard. This is what I came up with, now I have two hoophouses. One over my raised veggie garden and one for seed starting and my tropicals. Back Yard Flower Close-ups Garden Hardscape Large (5,000 - 10,000 sq ft.) Medium (1,000 - 5,000 sq ft.) Outbuilding Side Yard Small (Under 1,000 sq ft.) Step by Step Project

1 of 3: This is the hoop house garden in June. I kept the hoop house up all season, but kept the ends open for circulation.

2 of 3: The experiment was no over head watering, not even rain. The plants did not get the blight or fungus. I have a rain barrel that I used for watering everything in the hoop house.

3 of 3: I did not use any chemicals. I used companion planting to control insects. I used worm castings and worm tea to fertilize all veggies and herbs. If you like gardening come and join my forum www.larksperennials.com
