"Yes daffodils keep the deer away from my hostas. Whenever I plant a hosta I also plant about 7 daffodils around the hosta. Make sure not to plant the daffs to close, about a foot away and in a circle around the hosta. I also hang soap all in and around my hosta garden. I make pepper spray and also spray MY URINE on the ground everywhere. I start doing all these things in March or April. Telling the deer it is NOW MY TERRITORY for the gardening season. I also plant leftover daylillies and hostas "
